A day at the Union office is always eventful, and today was no exception!

With Guardian Bus’ Union Meeting already scheduled, we were called upon to help our brother Local 225 (Grey Lines Bus Corp.) in Manhattan  when an outside union  petitioned for a representation vote which will be held this Friday.  So we sent our representatives and  I am happy to report that there was a strong show of support by TWU members from all area TWU Locals!   At the same time we attended an RFP meeting at William Floyd School District to express our concerns about the lack of safety requirements in the RFP, as well as stressing to the board that TWU Local 252 represents the drivers and assistants at First Student, and that we will continue to do so no matter who the contract is awarded to!

Finally, tonight is the Suffolk Bus Union meeting and we look forward to seeing everyone as we begin another school year!
